Hi, my name is Sherrie and I have enjoyed a life long love for gardening with a desire to gain knowledge and share the life cycle of flowering plants. Seeing flowers bloom is a truly relaxing and calming sight. My passion for saving seeds began in late spring of 2009 during a visit to my sister Noma’s garden. The Columbine and Lupine flowers had finished blooming and their seed pods were dry. The seeds had matured and were ready to be harvested for the next growing season. Amazed at the whole process The Seed Basket came to life.

Theseedbasket.com was soon created and photos of the flowers, seeds, seed pods and seedlings were shared on the website to assist other gardeners’ identify their plants as they come to life each spring and to help discover the secrets of seeds.
